Wilson Medical Group was founded by Dr Kerrie-Anne Heron in 2003 with the mission of providing top notch primary care in Wilson. The medical group has grown over the years to meet the rising health demands in Wilson. Through years of delivering high quality and compassionate health care, Wilson Medical Group has demonstrated a strong commitment to the health of the residents of Wilson. We are driven by a passion to provide high quality healthcare to our patients and serve the Wilson community.

kerrie-anne heron, MD

Dr Heron earned her baccalaureate at Emory University and her medical degree at Duke University. She completed her residency for Internal Medicine at Emory University. Dr Heron is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr Heron established Wilson Medical Group in 2003 and is well respected for her quality, commitment and compassion.

Dr Heron is married to Dr Damon Tweedy, a Psychiatrist in the Durham VA Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Duke University. She is the proud mother of two active boys.

brittany marshburn, pa-c

Brittany Marshburn obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from North Carolina State University and her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University. She especially enjoys the bond she builds with her patients over the course of their lives and is committed to providing quality preventative care.

Brittany is a native of Eastern NC. She is married to Adam, a Raleigh Fire Department Captain and has 2 young children, Emmett and Ellory. For fun she enjoys vacationing at the beach with her family and cheering on the NC State Wolfpack. She also volunteers her time serving on the Wake County Agriculture Advisory Board.

sumayyaH razzaq, pa-c

Sumayyah received her Bachelors Degree in Public Health at East Carolina University and her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University. She takes pleasure in focusing on preventative health care and patient education. Her interests include fitness, nutrition, rural health and womens health.

Sumayyah was born in New York City and raised in Raleigh, NC. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being by the beach and traveling during her free time.

peggie Parks, PA-C

A native of eastern NC, Peggie Parks has been a primary care PA for over twenty years. She first earned a BS in biology from Meredith College as a NC Teaching Fellow, followed by a Master's in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and was a high school science teacher in Durham, NC. She then graduated in the first class of PA students from ECU in 1999 and earned a second Master's Degree from Duke University.

Peggie is enjoying watching her three children explore life as young adults as she and her husband Alan adjust to being "empty nesters". She loves to read and travels whenever she gets the chance.
